This was 2 M2 Apache cut up and spliced with the bed and chassis stretched. Then it was lowered as low as could go and custom wheels installed. It still rolls!

This short demonstrates the function of some home made 1/64 diecast car wheel pullers I made. The pullers are interchangeable and are modified from snap ring inserts. They can just back out to other snap ring inserts for use as originally intended.

Drifting a tractor!

This John Deere LA110 tractor is actually scratch built with a 125cc 4 speed motor, gokart FNR gearbox and live axle, and full suspension. The only things John Deere are the hood, seat, and colors! It can go 30mph. It's nothing crazy, but it's really fun in the snow! Check out the "Project X" playlist at the end screen for the complete build.

This video starts around 6PM on 12 April 2022 and ends at approximately 8AM on 14 April 2022. With all the wind, not sure on the totals but it's somewhere between 20" and 30". As you can see there are some bare spots, and some big drifts. For reference the chain link fence is 6ft tall.

I've found out most folks can't fill there GM underhood DEF without making a mess. Some opt for funnels, towels everywhere, or just use the pump to avoid a mess. No, no, no, Not today! Today I show how to fill your DEF using only the jug and nozzle it came with. The first one went perfect and then I remembered to make the video. Project X Day 68 Front plow mount and top speed!

Last time I tried to plow with this John Deere look-a-like I snapped the rear chain. So I swapped the 40 series chain and the gears out for 50 series. I also made a front plow mount. Today we see if that works, and I find the top speed with the current gears. Surprise! It's 30mph. Still need to do some steering adjustments, but today all went well and fun! The fun starts at about the 10 min mark.

I put some taller gearing on this and a bigger main jet and now it's time to test drive! It goes much faster. Roads were kinda slick and I'm now going fast enough where I'll need to do a bit of an alignment. It got a little squirrely over around 20mph. But It was a blast! It'll do donuts in second gear. Clutch might be burned up and slipping, not sure. It doesn't grab like the first time. I mig...

How much would it cost to build another one like this ?
@@nicholaswright7592 not sure in todays dollars. Its was somewhere around $2500 just in parts for the tractor. The trailer had about $700 in parts/materials. This was 4 years ago before all the inflation so I'm sure that's cheap compared to now. Id imagine you could add at least 30% for parts and then take that total and double it for my labor. Not cheap by any means.

One means I’ve used as a mold release for fiberglass is to paint on a thin coat of molten wax and then warm the finished part once it’s done. It comes off easy, then.

Its Shellac. It seals wood good.

Nice job. The only thing I woulda done differrnt is, I would have tested the unit before placing the inside cover on.
I'm in the market for a new JD and didn't realize even the hood was cheapened up! This LA series is one big piece whereas the new S models are even thinner and 3 piece snap together. The hood holder hinge also is plastic instead of a high gauge steel!
I always prided my builds but this is a true masterpiece and i hope you have lots of years of enjoyment with this.
Awesome build , I'm building one now and I'm just wondering did you make most all of your custom parts or buy them? I got a 6" frame extension butbl the original frame and the new piece dont sit flush so I'm having to bondo fill it ....I'm trying to hide all the screws as well where I can but did you make your fame cover plate ?
I did. I made it from aluminum sheet I cut, drilled, and polished.

For the framr rails, I used longer rails from semijoerctruckshop2.com/ i did not use extensions.

I dont have the time now for one. It was a while ago that i built this. I'm sure cost of everything has changed since then too.

I only have an inch of space on my I beam lip becuz of a gas line. Is that enough space to mount the brackets for the side bars

Im not 100% sure as I'm not familiar with the Shimano MT375, but I used a cheap generic mechanical caliper from Amazon and it worked so I'd assume so.

I got a bunch from E-bay, some from Amazon, others from www.truescale-rc.com/, and a bunch from www.semijoerctruckshop2.com/. Enjoy. There was far too many parts to list which ones I got where but those 4 locations were the only places I ordered from.

You will probably eitger want to make a motor spin a threaded shaft to open and close or use hydraulic cylinder. Direct servo control would likely be to weak to hold close with a load.

I do not have the time at the moment. Im really busy making commisioned 1/64 die cast customs. Im not sure what I would charge at the moment. Prices have gone up drastically since I built this. I'd rough guess around $1k though. It takes a lot of time.

I used the one in this link. I stripped the drive side until it was just a bare crank. I don't remember what all that entailed. Probably some drilling, grinding, and hammering though. SHIMANO Tourney FC-TY501 Crankset a.co/d/eAN3Hew

Just to be clear, the only seal on the roof side is the foam that comes with unit? Mine is a 2016 & I was in the roof yesterday checking all sealant around openings. Should the factory seal be sufficient over time? It should I add something?
Correctabout the foam. And yes it should be sufficient if it ever leaks it will need to replaced.
